SPACE DROOB is an artistic space aiming for creative and innovative artistic activities, evolving from the live painting performance group Drawing Groove. This space practices its motto “Art in Everyday Life” through exhibition planning and various projects. SPACE DROOB doesn’t view art as a complicated study but as a visual element that is easily accessible and enjoyable in daily life. In 2016, SPACE DROOB was recognized for its capabilities by winning the Creative Award at the 1st Ttukseom Pop Art Festival and successfully conducted the “Visual Hertz” project in collaboration with jazz pianist Lee Ha-rim. In 2019, it established a local exhibition space and actively engaged in the area around Bucheon, collaborating with various artists such as Jo Yong-in, Kim Jun-seo, Koh Ju-ahn, Noh Hye-in, Samchi, Lee Eun-ah, and Kim Geun-ah to present meaningful exhibitions. Since 2020, SPACE DROOB has been exploring various venues, not limited to a fixed space, and carrying out diverse activities including exhibition planning and generating revenue through design work. Through these efforts, SPACE DROOB significantly contributes to integrating art into daily life and plays an important role in connecting people with art in various ways.
SPACE DROOBは、ライブペインティングパフォーマンスグループであるDrawing Grooveから進化し、創造的で革新的な芸術活動を目指す芸術空間です。この空間は、「日常生活の中のアート」というモットーを展示企画や様々なプロジェクトを通じて実践しています。SPACE DROOBは、芸術を複雑な学問としてではなく、日常生活で簡単にアクセスでき、楽しむことができる視覚的要素として捉えています。 2016年、SPACE DROOBは第1回緑洲ポップアートフェスティバルでクリエイティブ賞を受賞し、能力を認められました。そして、ジャズピアニストのLee Ha-rimとの共同で「Visual Hertz」プロジェクトを成功裏に実施しました。2019年には、地元の展示スペースを設立し、釜山周辺で積極的に活動し、Jo Yong-in、Kim Jun-seo、Koh Ju-ahn、Noh Hye-in、Samchi、Lee Eun-ah、Kim Geun-ahなどの様々なアーティストと協力して意義深い展示を行いました。 2020年以降、SPACE DROOBは固定された空間に限定されず、様々な会場を探求し、展示企画やデザイン作業を通じて収益を生み出すなど、多様な活動を行っています。これらの努力を通じて、SPACE DROOBは日常生活にアートを統合することに大きく貢献し、様々な方法で人々とアートを繋ぐ重要な役割を果たしています。
